Harley Davidson Sports Glide 107ci

Harley Davidson Sports Glide 107ci

In this Softail Stage 2+ build we fitted:
  • CR-480 Camshaft
  • S&S Tappet Cuffs
  • S&S 55mm Intake Manifold
  • S&S Teardrop Stinger Air Cleaner (Black)
  • S&S Super Street 2-1 Exhaust (Chrome)
  • S&S Quickee Adjustable Pushrods (Chrome)
  • Custom Dyno Tune

The CR-480 Cam is one of our personal favourites for the Milwaukee Eight platform, when paired with a good exhaust such as the S&S Super Street 2-1 or the Freedom 2-2 Radius. They make great torque right through the midrange and although they aren’t a Horsepower focused cam, they still make exceptional top end performance. This bike cam came to us completely STOCK which allowed us to get a good baseline for the 107ci platform as most people come to us with at least Stage 1 already fitted.

The baseline figures were 64.7rwhp (78.0 Engine HP) / 89.2ftlb which is roughly 8-10% lower than most of the Stage 1 figures we have recorded so far.

Engine upgrades were completed which was 98.4rwhp (118.2 EngineHP) / 103.5ftlb. This is a 52% increase in Peak Horsepower and a 16% increase in Peak Torque which dramatically changes how the bike rides without sacrificing any bottom end performance which is why we love this combo.

This Harley likes to rev and it is still pulling all the way to 6700 rpm. As it’s a street bike, we’ve capped it there, although it definitely wants to go further! This is mostly due to the S&S Super Street Exhaust which, from our experience, sacrifices a small amount of peak power to make a really smooth power delivery that just wants to keep going and going.
